Data Deletion Request
Understand how to exercise your California privacy rights — the Right to Delete and the Right to Know — on the Find Business platform, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

1. Your California privacy rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives California residents the right to request that a business delete the personal information it has collected about them (the “Right to Delete”) and the right to know what personal information is collected, used, disclosed, or shared (the “Right to Know”).
This page explains how to submit a request, how we verify your identity, the timelines we follow, what is deleted, and the legal exceptions that may require us to keep certain information.
2. How to submit a request
To exercise your Right to Delete or Right to Know, you may reach us through either of the following methods:
- Email: privacidade@findbusiness.com.br — use the subject line “CCPA Data Request” and state whether you are exercising the Right to Delete, the Right to Know, or both.
- In-app: submit the request from the account settings panel of your Find Business account.
- Please include your full name, the email address registered on the platform, and the name of the business linked to your account so we can locate your records.
You do not need an active account to submit a request. We will acknowledge and process it within the timelines described below.
3. Identity verification
To protect your personal information, we must verify your identity before acting on a request. We will ask you to provide information that matches what we already hold; the data points we request depend on the sensitivity of the information and the risk of harm from unauthorized access or deletion.
We use the information you provide solely to verify your identity and delete it once verification is complete. If we cannot verify your identity, we may decline the request and will explain why.
4. Authorized agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a Right to Delete or Right to Know request on your behalf. When an authorized agent submits a request, we may require written permission signed by you authorizing the agent to act, and we may still ask you to verify your own identity directly with us.
5. Response timelines
- Acknowledgment: we confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and describe how we will handle it.
- Response: we respond to and complete verifiable requests within 45 calendar days of receipt.
- Extension: when reasonably necessary, we may extend the response period by an additional 45 days (up to 90 days total) and will notify you of the extension and the reason for it.
6. What is deleted
Once your identity is verified and no exception applies, we delete the personal information we collected from you, including:
- Account data: name, email, phone number, and password.
- Conversation history and interactions recorded on the platform.
- Contacts imported into the CRM that are linked to your account.
- Automation, campaign, and platform preference settings.
We will also direct our service providers and contractors to delete the personal information from their records, unless a legal exception applies.
7. Legal exceptions to deletion
The CCPA permits us to retain certain personal information even after a deletion request. We may decline to delete information when it is reasonably necessary to:
- Complete a transaction, provide a good or service you requested, or otherwise perform a contract between you and us.
- Detect security incidents and protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity.
- Comply with a legal obligation — including tax, accounting, and recordkeeping requirements — or respond to a court order or lawful request from authorities.
- Exercise or defend legal claims, or make solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with us.
When we retain information under one of these exceptions, we keep only what is necessary for that purpose and delete the rest.
8. Deletion through the platform
In addition to submitting a request, you can close your account directly from the Find Business account panel. Closing the account triggers deletion of the associated data after a 90-day retention window reserved for backup and recovery, as described in our Privacy Policy.
After that window, the data is permanently deleted, except for the legal exceptions described in the previous section.
9. Non-discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price or rate, or provide you a different level or quality of service because you submitted a Right to Delete or Right to Know request.
